Permanent residence in Saudi Arabia (IQAMA)

In order to obtain a residence permit (IQAMA) in Saudi Arabia, you must first collect all the necessary documents and obtain a special type of visa.

Requirements:

  • Filled application form;
  • 2 photos sized 4x6;
  • Signed commitment;
  • Original of international passport (2 blank pages on the opening spread must be in the passport, as well as validity period of at least 6 months);
  • Documents that prove relationship (birth certificates, marriage certificates) legalized at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine. If the documents are not issued in Ukraine they need to be legalized at the Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the country of issue or in Embassy of Ukraine;
  • Notarized translation into Arabic of a legalized document confirming the relationship. The translation must be legalized by the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine;
  • Copy of wife’s birth certificate;
  • Certificate of good conduct (age 16 and older) legalized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Valid for 3 months;
  • Medical certificate attested by appropriate medical institution (with a stamp of regional outpatient clinic)***;
  • Original test results:
    • Hepatitis B (HEP B);
    • Hepatitis C (HEP C);
    • HIV;
    • Syphilis (VDRL);
    • Certificate from a narcologist;
  • Original or a copy of the permission for a visa issued by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (with the obligatory indication of the name). If you don’t have it submit an electronic personal invitation;
  • Copy of the letter from the Saudi company to the Embassy of Saudi Arabia in Kiev with a request to open visa certified by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia;
  • IQAMA copy (valid permanent residence) of the host in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia;
  • Copy of the host’s passport;
  • Copy of the host’s visa.

* The Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has the right to require additional documents for issuing visas
** Test results, medical certificate and findings must be valid for no longer than three months for applying to the Embassy.
*** All medical certificates, findings and test results must be from state clinic with appropriate medical institution’s stamp.
**** After submitting documents to the visa center you have to make an appointment for fingerprinting.
